Abstract
The research study entitled “Development of face recognition scanner entry-exit system with turnstile” is primarily designed for security and attendance purposes. There are many cases of incidents inside the vicinity because of lack of security at the entrance. Incidents may occur anytime that’s why security is important. In that case, biometrics authentication is one of the solutions to prevent such incidents. This development aims to strengthen the security of the vicinity and make everyone feel at ease. The major methodologies used in this research is survey, to gather all the data from the respondents, the researchers surveyed a student, employees, outsource employee of Technological University of the Philippines, and a visitor from the outside. This development has a features of face recognition where it will be able to categorize all the entrants from student to visitor, it is also able to save and record transaction to the website and export excel reports, scan entrant’s temperature. The development also has an electronic turnstile that is connected to face recognition camera for proper security. The system received an overall mean rating of 4.5 and a descriptive rating of "Very Good" from 30 evaluators, including students, employees, and outsourced employees. This indicates that the research helps to provide secure protection for each user and for biometric recognition.
