1901

Manila Trade School

Established as the Manila Trade School (MTS) by the Philippine Commission, focusing on vocational and technical education.

1910

Philippine School of Arts and Trades

Renamed to Philippine School of Arts and Trades (PSAT) to reflect its expanding role in industrial education.

1959

Philippine College of Arts and Trades

Converted into the Philippine College of Arts and Trades (PCAT) with the authority to grant degrees.

1978

Technological University of the Philippines

By virtue of Presidential Decree No. 1518, PCAT was converted into the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP).

1979

TUP Cavite Establishment

TUP Cavite was established as one of the three prototype technician institutes in the Philippines, located in Salawag, Dasmariñas.

TUP Cavite Campus

Technological University of the Philippines – Cavite Campus was established in 1979 as one of the three prototype technician institutes in the Philippines. It was designed to address the growing need for highly skilled technicians in the industrial sectors of the country.

"Located in Salawag, Dasmariñas, Cavite, the campus has grown from its initial technician programs to offering full engineering, education, and technology degrees, serving as a hub for technological education in the CALABARZON region."
