Abstract

The Web-Based UITC Online System was designed to digitize the transactions and services of the University Information Technology Center (UITC) to reduce paper waste and enhance efficiency. This web application reliably stores data and supports students, employees, and administrators in managing their UITC-related transactions. Key features include electronic forms, borrowing and inventory management, request handling, report summaries, secure registration and login, and email confirmations. Developed using the Django framework, Python, MySQL and JavaScript as scripting languages, along with open-source technologies like HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap, the system delivers a seamless web interface. It is compatible with various devices, including desktops, laptops, and Android or iOS mobile web browsers without any compatibility issues. The system was evaluated across various quality aspects such as functionality, reliability, security, functional suitability, interaction capability, performance efficiency, and portability. Thirty evaluators, including 15 students and 15 UITC staff and employees from the Technological University of the Philippines - Cavite assessed the system using the ISO 25010 software quality model. The system achieved an overall rating of 4.80, equivalent to an "Excellent" descriptive rating. This result highlighted the system's usefulness, efficiency, security, and reliability in providing an effective online platform for university transactions.
